Even short stay hotels can work in a pinch. Do what you can to protect your child. I do understand the reality I live in, and the extent to which I really need to leave it. But I live in a very rural area and work here as well. Small apartments and cheap hotels are not really something I have at a reliable distance. I am looking at a rental nearby though and hoping for that to pan out.
