If that continues betting Wisconsin is risky. On the flip side after a dumb loss, Wisconsin will be sharp and motivated and more prepared than normal. Compare to Ohio State last year. After losing to Iowa they went out and smoke MSU in one of their best performances of the season. Wisconsin appears to be the better team still even with lackluster performances in every game this year. I doubt Wisconsin lacks luster vs Iowa, especially after a loss. I had Iowa as my team to win the West prior to the season. Not because they’re better but because of their respective schedules, including the fact they lost this game. Maybe last week was a wakeup call.

Think we should be quite a few steps ahead of them if we are able to brush off last week. While I agree the West is more wide open, let’s not forget Wisky has made the B1G Champ Game five times to OSU’s three. Since the re-alignment (4 years), two teams have won the West (Wisky 3, Iowa) compared to three from the East (OSU 2, PSU, MSU). Minnesota has a better chance to win the West than Maryland the East, sure, but I’d be shocked if they actually pull it off. Let’s see how they handle the conference schedule. The Gophers were 3-0 at this point last year too.
